Re: WTB: Various 850 parts.
Sweet. I checked row 52 Thursday night and didn't see anything listed. Maybe I did something wrong. I went out to A-1 auto salvage yesterday and was able to source a headlight and a corner lens. The real challenge will be finding the body panels and the headlight wiper trim I need in the correct col...

Re: '94 850 ECC madness.
RickHaleParker, that's great news! And just the type of info I've been needing! Now to figure out what ECC module(s) I need to source. Now it's a matter of figuring out which ones came from which car originally. I should have labeled them. This should solve a lot of issues once I sort it out. Thanks...

'94 850 ECC madness.
I've been trying to figure this out for the past couple of years, and I'd honestly given up. A couple of years back, I had the 'fan running on high at all settings' problem. I replaced the resistor (genuine Volvo) and the blower itself at the time. When I reinstalled the ECC unit itself, it wouldn't...

WTB: Various 850 parts.
I got into a little fender bender on my way home from work last night. Stupid. At any rate, I'll be needing some 850 pieces in the burgundy color. The main thing being the little trim piece that surrounds the passenger side headlight wiper. I'm not sure yet if the wiper assembly itself is still good...

Re: Does anyone repair ECC modules?
No ECU swap in either of my cars. And I'm not aware of them frying for any reason. I couldn't think of a reason for them frying. I've not really had any weird electrical gremlins in either car. Knock on wood. I had one go bad in the 94 turbo. Thought it was initially the blower resistor. Bought a ne...

Does anyone repair ECC modules?
I've amassed a small collection of broken ECC modules over the last few years, due to their fragile and finicky nature. And it's only a matter of time until the used replacements that I'm currently using suffer the same fate. Is there a member on here, or someone elsewhere that knows how to diagnose...

Re: 94 850-Center caps won't fit over axles with new wheels. Options?
I was wondering if that was a possibility or not. Another thing I'm now wondering is if I could use the later axles? It appears that the change from axle nut to axle bolt happened in '99. Would '99 s/v70 axles fit an 850 no problem? I'm thinking they should. But I'd like to be sure.

Re: 94 850-Center caps won't fit over axles with new wheels. Options?
I think I've finally solved the mystery. It appears that later Volvos use an axle bolt, a bolt that threads into the axle rather than a big ol' axle nut that threads onto the axle. Much more clearance when using the bolt, as there isn't a bunch of threads hanging out the end. As a result, it appears...

Re: 94 850-Center caps won't fit over axles with new wheels. Options?
As for the left one, I have no clue, as I've never personally replaced it. The right one is not OEM, as I just replaced it not too long ago. Both stick out a slightly different amount, but both do stick out enough to not allow caps.

Re: 94 850-Center caps won't fit over axles with new wheels. Options?
I believe these are from a 2010 S60. Those caps are the right idea. But I won't need nearly that much room. Not to mention, that they would look quite conical. Something maybe twice as thick as the existing ones ought to be fine. Thanks though. I'll keep digging and see what i can come up with. Its ...
