2005 Volvo S60 2.5T Front End Clamping Noise
About two months ago, I had the front struts and rear shocks replaced by my local Good Year Dealer because every time I went over a large bump, I would feel it hard, like a hard jolt. My Volvo dealer said that this was normal, which I said was not, and had the above parts replaced. Now the ride is f...

Re: 2005 S60 2.5T Check Engine Light Code P0402
I will be driving the car again today, and will see what happens. I agree with you, I think the Techron, the gasoline, and/or the old gas cap have something to do with the CEL. I bought the car pre-owned, so I really don't know what the previous owner used in it. Moreover the car only had 46k miles,...

2005 S60 2.5T Check Engine Light Code P0402
Have my used S60 for a month now, and decided to pour a bottle of Techron Fuel System Cleaner in with a tank of Mid-Grade last week. This afternoon, started the car and went to the supermarket. When I came out, and restarted the car, the Check Engine Light came on, My code scanner indicated a small ...

Re: 2005 S60 What Octane is Best to use with 2.5T?
Based on your commentary the best grade of gas according to the manuals is one with a minimum octane of 91, which here in the US we do not have, or 93 Premium for the best performance.

Re: 2005 S60 What Octane is Best to use with 2.5T?
I just came across this article on the web concerning the blending of Mid-Grade. It sounds like a rip-off, if only a small percentage of Premium is blended with the Regular to make Mid-Grade. http://hyperbear.blogspot.com/2006/05/dirty-little-secret-about-mid-grade.html In other words, if I am readi...

2005 S60 What Octane is Best to use with 2.5T?
Since I got my car a month ago, I have read many different articles about what gas one should use in the car. Mine being the 2.5Turbo model, the service advisor at my Volvo dealership told me that I could get away with Regular as long as the engine doesn't knock or ping. Others have told me Mid-Grad...

Re: 2005 S60 Daytime Running Lights Working?
Thanks for the clarification. That being said, would you have the dealer, who would probably charge me $100 or more to turn it off via software, or would you leave DRL on, and just replace the bulbs. The service advisor told me rear are easy to replace, headlights are a different story. Now I am thi...

2005 S60 Daytime Running Lights Working?
I am a new owner and driver of an S60 2.5T FWD that I bought a month ago that I am enjoying immensely but there is quirk in the DRL that I need clarification or help. When the lighting control is set a 0, and I turn on the ignition, the headlights come on along with the tail lights. The led for the ...
