Re: 2000 C70 AC Hose ID
Received the hose and dryer. One last question, does the high pressure hose use o'rings or is it just a press fit. None came with the new hose and I did find one on the garage floor leading me to suspect it came off the old hose, but maybe not.

Re: 2000 c70 AC HOSE ID
Yep it does. I need a single connector on both ends but don't know what the hose is is called (high pressure, suction, etc.) to search for. I didn't see an exploded view on FCP...
Definetly going to need Pag oil, but what happens if I don't replace the accumulator with this job?

Re: 2000 C5 Explosion Under Hood
Thanks for all the info and capacities of the oil and freon. The line blew right at the metal crimp off the compressor.

2000 C70 AC Hose ID
What is the name of the AC hose (half rubber/half metal) that runs from the back of the compressor to the bottom corner (drivers side) of the condensor. I ordered an A/C pressure line from advance auto and it came with two fitting on one end - that wont fit, I only have one connection on either end.

Re: 2000 C5 Explosion Under Hood
Well the hose blew that connects to the back of the compressor. It broke at the junction where the steel is crimped to the rubber. Does this go to the accumulator or the condenser. Can I just replace the hose (have not crawled under to take a look yet). How much freon does the car hold and should I ...

Re: 2000 C5 Explosion Under Hood
Thanks all for the suggestions - I'll take a better look this morning. I didn't see any debris or oil yesterday so I'll look at the other things mentioned.

2000 C5 Explosion Under Hood
Routine trip to town - massive explosion under hood. Sounded like tire blowing (car next to us pulled over). Made a quick inspection and saw nothing. Wife notice AC was no longer blowing. Checked compressor - sure enough the clutch was still working (thankfully it didn't freeze up and shred the belt...

2000 c70 Coolant light
Need walk through of what to check next. Car has 102K miles. Previous owner said he could not get the coolant temp light to go out and had replaced a lot of parts and gave up trying to fix. I just changed out the T-STAT, ECT, and the radiator (was leaking -needed replaced) but still have the temp li...

2000 c70 Fan
Just changed the radiator out and the fan is acting up. Comes on the minute I turn the car on (sometimes) and will run with A/C on or off. I also noticed that it is running when I shut the car off all the time and it didn't do that before (AC is still off). It will shut off on its own. Just don't kn...
