Re: 2005 S80 - Stalling at idle - no check engine codes
UPDATE: Mechanic was finally able to get it to throw an Engine Code so he could take it to a local Volvo mechanic (not dealer). It signaled the Fuel Pump running too high RPM (like 3-4x). Fuel pump is new in the last 6 months. Another shop finally able to take it in to review the issue. Eventually t...

Re: 2005 S80 - Stalling at idle - no check engine codes
TCC = torque converter clutch. Under certain circumstances the torque converter locks, taking the fluid coupling out of play to improve fuel economy. If it doesn't disengage when coming to a stop its the same as a manual transmission if you don't press the clutch. Putting it in neutral disconnects ...

Re: 2005 S80 - Stalling at idle - no check engine codes
When it stalls out, I can put it in neutral and it will restart. I put it in drive and it will act fine. When I slow down and come to a stop again, it will stall out (or not - not every time which is the bugger). per the post above, I have not tried slipping it into neutral while driving to see what...

2005 S80 - Stalling at idle - no check engine codes
Having an issue that neither myself or my mechanic can seem to figure out why my 2005 S80 2.5T stalls when you come to a stop. It runs fine as you are driving distances, but when you come to a stop at an intersection it stalls out. You can toss it into Neutral, and restart it. It will run fine until...

2005 S80 Trunk lock cylinder - replacement? key worn't go in
Hello all, recently the trunk lock cylinder stopped accepting the key. Key can only engage part way. I have been using the key as the remote does not open the trunk. I am not sure if it is the remote or the little black "button" on the trunk that is not working, or if it is user error. So ...

If you are happy with your current car (S70), why do you want to buy the other car (S80)?

05 S80 2.5T - Corner Lights only on when turn signal active?
Hello fellow S80 owners, can anyone tell me if the Corner Lights (the amber lights) are supposed to be on when the engine is running? Is this a special situation for the 2005 model year? Whether I am in "auto" mode, or "parking light" mode, or "headlight" mode, the only...
