Re: 2001 s60 running problem

I bought mine on eBay a few years ago. Just checked and saw one for $76 on there, that is cheaper than mine. Beware, software installation can be frustrating.

Re: 2001 s60 running problem

My first thought is to break out VIDA/DICE to evaluate when issue occurs. Compare fuel trim/MAF, etc values to same when car is running fine. I would think you would narrow it down in short order. Do you have one? If you plan to keep the car for a few years, $100 well spent.

Re: Front End Clunk

It sounds like you might have multiple issues, however, it is best not to troubleshoot based solely on this description alone. If you want to get the best feedback, recommend pictures/video.

Re: Still won't start...

Are you sure it is an interference engine? 240 engines aren’t normally interference engines. I think it is only B234 engines and they weren’t stock 240 engines.

Re: Care for peeling paint

Search for how to paint car with roller and rust oleum. You can do it in a day or two and it comes out amazing. Obviously , you have to sand edges where clear coat is peeling. It costs less than $50 and is easy with no special tools.

Re: 2004 S80 2.5.T AWD - Tight turns lead into Stall- tie rods to blame?

When I suggest possible fuel issue, I mean fuel delivery not the actual fuel itself.

Starting fluid is great for troubleshooting, however too much can be a fire risk. Read the can and/or YouTube videos for proper procedure.

Re: 2004 S80 2.5.T AWD - Tight turns lead into Stall- tie rods to blame?

Was what QAC said about the tie rod ends preventing 100% alignment correct? Yes, it can be. Bad tie rod ends generally give loose steering. What did they do that would leave the steering so "loose" afterwards? I don't think anyone could say for sure here. They might have damaged them slightly more i...

Re: '99 V70 No Crank No Start

I don't think this is it, but before getting into the hard stuff ... measure voltage across starter chassis and solenoid terminal while starter is energized. If you are getting less than 12V, you might have an electrical problem (battery/wires, etc).

Re: sunroof and alarm siren

The reason that the alarm is 'usually' the culprit is because the battery routinely goes bad and sometimes leaks acid over electronics. After that, the interface to the computer ends up looking like a short. The computer can't drive the other unit (sunroof) because the computer can't drive a shorted...

Re: How reliable is the Volvo V70? (2004-2007)

I bought a 2003 v70 at 110k and put 50K miles on it. I sold it because it kept requiring more work. I do miss it though. I kept all of my 240 volvos to a minimum of 250k miles. I bought a 2002 Camry at 85k, it has 185k miles and still own it, minimal work. Just not as fun to drive. I was given a 200...
