I recently purchased a used VOLVO trailer hitch for my 99 V70XC. Has anybody installed one of these themselves? IF so, how difficult and do you have the instructions? It is my understanding that the rear bumper may have to come off.

During a fit of anger I punched my 99 XC70's steering wheel which in turn bent the small metal VOLVO emblem in the center. Does anybody know of a good place to score this tiny part. I guess it would have to come off of a car with a deployed airbag.

Has anyone ventured into adding a remote car starter to their Volvo? I have a '99 S70 and a '99 V70XC. Just wondering if they are too difficult to install or if they will start problems etc.

It sure would be a nice option, but only if it does not cause problems.

I have had this sound analyzed by a few volvo mechanics. Now they tell me that it may be the hydraulic lifters going bad. Told me to try synthetic oil for awhile before replacing them!

99 V70XC with 66,000 miles. When at idle the RPM's pulsate between 800 and 1100. It is in a ryhthmic pattern that is pretty consistant. Other than the annoyance of the idling, the car is fine. It does not stall and it has great pickup. Any ideas on what is causing this fluctuation in my idle speed?
