Thanks again!

1995 850 wagon non-turbo gear shift knob cracked
Hi, I have a 1995 850 wagon, non-turbo and I guess the older it gets, the more it develops problems I've never seen before. Now the knob for the gear shifter has cracked and a piece of it fell off. See the attached picture, left hand corner of the knob. The material seems to be some kind of sticky r...

Re: Radio static 1995 850 wagon
Thanks for the response! I have a similar problem on the AM stations but not exact. On the FM there's a hissing noise and no reception. On the AM there's no reception but there's no hissing noise. There is sort of a low humming/electrical interference noise on the AM. I think I see what you're talki...

Radio static 1995 850 wagon
Hi, I'm having a problem with the radio in my 1995 850 wagon non-turbo. It's the original AM/FM/cassette, model SC-710. When I first turn the radio on, there's about a half second where the FM station comes in fine, then it goes to static and never re-acquires the signal. All FM stations are like th...

Re: 1995 850 non-turbo wagon - does this engine sound funny?
Thanks for the responses! I'm glad to know the engine sounds pretty normal! Thanks jblackburn for the suggestion on the possible intake or exhaust leak. Maybe something didn't get reconnected tightly when all those belts were replaced.

Re: 1995 850 non-turbo wagon - does this engine sound funny?
Sewing machine noise is a great way to describe it!! And that's the noise that seems to have gotten louder since the repairs I think.
Do you know what causes the sewing machine noise?
Thanks!!

Re: 1995 850 non-turbo temperature gauge problem
Thanks Pauloil for the response! I have a follow-up question. Now that it's gotten hotter here (South Georgia), the problem is a little different. When I first started having the problem, it took about 7 to 10 minutes for the temperature gauge to register anything other than zero, then about another...

1995 850 non-turbo wagon - does this engine sound funny?
Hi, I recently had the timing belt, water pump and serpentine belt changed on my 1995 850, non-turbo wagon. The engine in this car has always been noisy. But since the changes it seems to have picked up some extra noise. I can't describe what I hear that's different but it does sound different. I've...
