Can you please give me aas good as you can detailed instruction on cleaning the throttle body?

Sure it is possible, but I looked at the cover yesterday and it is sealed with a pinkish liquid sealant.. I guess I will know in a couple of days.
But I know the dipstick goes in there so i would assume it has tranny fluid in there?

So no problem mixing different tranny fluids then?
(I will drain out about 4 quarts of whatever fluid is in there and put in 4 quarts of Dexron III)

I have never used RTF Sealant before but I guess the directions on the bottle is ok ...

"cyclmck" Since you have removed that pan and sealed it before, did you have to drain your entire tranny?
I figured if I hoist it up in the front, there should not be much tranny fluid inside that cap because of the leaning of the car towards the back but maybe I am mistaking?

I think I will go with option c. right now since when I screwed back the protective cap, it seemed like the leak was somewhat or totally stopped.

I will see how long it takes for the AC to get low again and then make another determination ...

Hi,

I refilled the refreigerant yesterday using an AutoZone kit for $20.
When I removed the lower port cap from the line, it made a pop, is that cap supposed to be under pressure (I thought it was just a protective dust cap)?

Also after I was done refilling and I removed the refill cap on the kit ...

I had a guy put in a tranny about 2 months ago and that is when I noticed the leak.

I am just going to remove it and take a look if there is a chemical seal or a regular seal and go from there.

I was simply hoping that someone would know what type ...

How would I apply the RTV Sealant?
I guess I will be getting alot ot oil coming out when I removed this cover, huh?
