Re: 2001 S80t6 Cooling fan relay, missing signal
I just did a resistance check of the temperature sensor in the thermostat housing. Tested it both hot and cold, and got proper readings, 2,500 ohms cold (20 deg c), 210 ohms at running temp (90 deg c) Waiting for ECU puller tool to arrive before I can check violet wire from it to the fan relay. Appa...

Re: 00 s80 Bad ECU?
Hello again, My 2001 S80 t6 cooling fan will turn on with AC on, but not with the engine hot. Had codes read and came up with ECM (engine control module) code 6110, cooling fan relay missing signal. The relay gets it's signal from the violet wire that goes to the ECM. The tech was able to run the fa...

Re: 00 s80 Bad ECU?
Could someone please let me know what ECT means. I am having cooling problems which I will list in another reply.
I love this site, but would be nice if the abbreviations could be somehow explained for us novices.
Thanks!

Re: t6 thermostat housing bleeder line
Also want to mention there is not much pressure at this junction due to the small size of the hose.
Hope this helps someone with this issue. Was a quick and easy solution.

Re: t6 thermostat housing bleeder line
The heat shrink tubing is still providing a watertight seal after 2 months. I know it sounds like a hokey fix, but it worked.

2001 S80t6 Cooling fan relay, missing signal
Hi, I have a very nice 2001 S80t6 with 69K miles. Just did the massive oil leak repair, along with timing belt, etc. Got the "Urgent Air Bag" message after removing radio without unhooking battery. Took car to shop and had message erased. Had them check all codes, and have ECM code 6110 (c...

Re: t6 thermostat housing bleeder line
Bought one of the metal replacement bleeder fittings from e-bay. When received found it was too small to make a tight seal. Cannot remember how much smaller than original, but enough to not seal. anyway I scratched my head for awhile, and came up with a solution. Used small piece of 1/4" shrink...
