Thanks to Made in Japan I am awaiting the arrival of my new antenna base and mast for my 01 V40. Anyone know how to remove the original base from the car and can give instructions on how to install the new parts?

My 01 V40's radio antenna base has lost its seal. Is this a problem? Should I worry about rain water getting under the base and causing rust or leaking into the car? If so, where can I find a replacement base or purchase a protective seal?
