Re: 2006 S60 2.5T FWD Brake pedal too soft and spongy
After looking at it again, I just realized that the bleeder valve screw is one piece design and from the picture at FCP Euro, that confirms my suspicions. I initially thought that the only thing that should move when you unscrew the bleeder valve is the hex nut but not so. The whole stem unscrew! Th...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T FWD Brake pedal too soft and spongy
Ughhh! After a second and third bleed, now I know why my pedal was soft and spongy! Wasn't air in the line at all! The bleeder valve has a slow leak in the rear driver's side caliper. Not the bleeder nipple but the stem. I wiggle it a little bit and noticed that small amount of fluid are trickling o...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T FWD Brake pedal too soft and spongy
I'm kinda thinking that there is air in the system, somehow. The kit is air tight but I have to say, I'm leaning towards doing it the 'old fashioned' way! I need to pick up some more fluid tomorrow. I will keep you guys informed as to results.

2006 S60 2.5T FWD Brake pedal too soft and spongy
Hello All, I know this thread has been covered and I've been reading most of them but haven't really got a full grasp on the problem(s) that I am having. Background information on my ride: 2006 S60 2.5T FWD (106,500 miles.) So, I decided to redo all of my brakes this weekend, front and rear rotors a...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T No Heat At All And It's Freezing outside
I try to catch the coolant as well in a bin and reuse it, as it's quite recent. The first time I did it, I think I only slowly removed the hose from the thermostat and there was some coolant flow (the reservoir cap was closed), perhaps half a liter. The second time I went with unscrewing the bleede...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T No Heat At All And It's Freezing outside!!
Here's a not so good video that might help a bit. there is more detail in the video description because I wasn't very good at filming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4ctUJY_nnA Just a little note for the t-stat housing, the one for the turbo model has an extra hose exit, as opposed with the non tu...

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T No Heat At All And It's Freezing outside!!
Thank you (oragex) for your reply and recommendations! I will do this sometimes today then. As I have been researching since this morning, because I have a turbo, the thermostat is actually an enclosed housing with the thermostat unit built into the metal housing itself. And the ECT (Electronic Cool...

2006 S60 2.5T No Heat At All And It's Freezing outside
I just recently had this problem for over a couple of weeks now. I have a 2006 S60 2.5T with 103K miles on it. Everything runs fine except I have NO heat in my cabin when I crank it high. Just cold air! Here's is what I've noticed: 1) On very cold frigid days (-5 to 15 degrees F) the temp gauge is A...
