98 v90 temp rising at altitude?!?!!?
So I replaced the head and head gasket after I bought my 98 wagon. Decided to take it to the Sierra Nevada mtns and Yosemite. The car drove all the way here without a hitch. A/C blowing the whole time, cruising along at 80+ was great. Then I get to an altitude of about 8K feet and when doing big hil...

v90 head/cylinder replacement questions
Thanks for that... Now for a few more questions if possible: 1. How to I get the final intake manifold screws out that are on the underside of the intake? 2. OOOOPS, I broke something.... There is a cover at the back of the valve cover on the exhaust cam. It attaches to the block head and valve cove...

Help - Stuck on Head removal...
I've gotten the engine stripped down to just the top and lower head, but now I cant figure out how to remove all the injectors from the engine. They seem to be stuck in the rail, and in the block. Any howtos on this would be greatly appreciated, or general help. My car is a 98 v90. thanks in advance...

Further troubleshooting
OK I replaced the thermostat with a 180 degree unit and drove the car home 65 miles without a hitch. Then I got to the local area and all of a sudden the car starts overheating again! Really bad! Cooland oozing out the overflow tank and spraying everywhere. So I ruled out the thermo, should I flush ...

98 v90 overheated suddenly, troublshooting help PLS.
I drove my new to me v90 to San Francisco and all of a sudden after a hill there was water under the car and it instantly overheated. I waited till it cooled, added coolant, but it did it again, and again! The radiator is not leaking, but it keeps on blowing the coolant out around the expansion tank...

v90 Timing belt service costs?
Just got a call from my mechanic about the v90 that I bought this passed weekend. The first thing that he noticed, that I feel like an ass about, is that the tranny fluid dipstick was missing. Theres $32 from the dealer. My main question is this: with 150K being 800 miles away, the mechanic recommen...

First time volvo owner, early opinions!
Simply put... I love this car. I picked up my 98 v90, with all the trimmings this passed weekend, and I can say that I love everything about this car. Its huge, spacious and room! Decent power with the 3.0 I6, and I love the fact that its a RWD car. I never expected a volvo to feel this smooth and b...
