Just wanted to say thanks for posting this thread! It was very helpful for replacing my windshield washer pump. Of course it had to die in the winter but at least we had a bit of a break from the weather up here in New England. Keeping my old 05 XC70 running for my daughter in college is MUCH easier...

We decided the best option was to go with the Volvo hitch. Here are some pictures of the install.
Pros - High quality, fit is perfect, integrated into the Volvo computer for road control during towing.
Cons - Expensive $$$$$

I checked out the Blue Ox website and did not see any hitches available for the XC40 yet.

Hi MEB, Picking up our new XC40 today. VERY Excited!!! Now that you have had it for a little bit, what are your thoughts on it? We chose the R-Design T5 in metalic grey. That makes us a two Volvo family now with "Sven" our 2005 XC70.
