Sorry for delayed reply--l.i.f.e.
We are going to attempt the blower motor lube to see if it remedies the problem.
Can you suggest what type to use?
If that doesn't work will try the replacement. We don't live far from FCP.
My husband actually got an ODBII reader a week ago. It's not a ...

Re: '98 V70 EEC Issues
Addendum: She's baaaack ;(
So, the canned air on the thermister seemed to remedy the EEC blinking lights. They no longer blink.
And, the fan worked, albeit briefly.
Now, the fan turns on strong when I start the car and slowly fades out in a few minutes.
Curiously, when it IS running, it goes faster ...

'98 V70 EEC Issues
Greetings All:
It's been awhile ;-)
I believe my girl needs some freon,as there is no cold air, and I can hear an intermittent clicking sound.
Just haven't been able to get her to a garage.
But, the other issue is that the entire EEC unit become non-responsive ;( with orange blinking indicators.
I ...

Intermittent Battery/Generator Warning Light
Hello All:
Am back here to pick your brains for my latest vexation.
But first, re my windshield fogging post in January, a shout out to Neil who suggested checking ALL the filters, which, I am embarrassed to say I did not know existed. The cabin filter was a disaster and replacing it remedied my ...

Re: Windshield Fogging
Thank you crlande for the direction to drains!
If the drains impact the AC, which subsequently can also cause the oily residue, does any part need replacement? Neil mentioned evaporator rot out.
Also, if the draina are the culprit, would I also find carpet moisture?
Will be scoping out tomorrow....

Re: Windshield Fogging
I appreciate all the input!
What Neil mentioned about the drain hoses resonates with me as I did notice a huge pool of water in the back left area under the hood a few months ago after a heavy rain. Our driveway has a lot of trees and am frequently cleaning the debris. The drain was clogged with ...

Re: Windshield Fogging
Hi Rick:
Thank you.
That was one of the scenarios I've read, but a wet floor was mentioned along with it.
Also, would my antifreeze level drop?
I think this started last Spring, if my memory serves me well.
Is a new heater core an expensive fix?
Thank you.

Windshield Fogging
Greetings~
Current situation with my '98 S70 is ---my windshield is fogging---or so I thought....
Rather, it seems to be an oily residue accumulating on the inside.
When I clean it with Windex it stays clean a short time.
I have read of some possible scenarios, but just wondering if anyone here has ...
