Yes in my original post I talked about having the volvo part number 36050266 and not having much luck. Do you know if that style voltage regulator would work on one that didn't originally come with that style of vr on it? Are the vr's the same between the 140 and 160amp?

13998N reman is what someone else has stuck in it. I believe this is only a 140 amp though. If i got my hands on a 160amp alternator then what would the part number be for the 05 or 06 voltage regulator? And they are definitely interchangeable between the two styles?
