alright thanks all for getting me through this tedious job. the biggest pita was scotch-briting all the corrosion off the t stat housing for an hour and a half. hopefully ill never have to do the job again and can actually enjoy her

UPDATE: so after a day and a half of getting this thing slow and fighting with the on and off rain, got it all back together. took it for a quick 6 min spin around the block and no leaks ! that mean im good or do you have to drive for awhile to get the t stat to open ?

ok Neil, so getting that housing clean as can be is the #1 thing ? or else ill just nick the o rings again ? have you had any other leaks since your repair ?
