Re: End of my wits... Sputter and stall
When you say download, do you mean the programming to the car?

Re: End of my wits... Sputter and stall
California has a vehicle retirement program. We can get $1k for it... So the probably what we are going to do. At this point we don't want to keep dining money into it. I'll have to see it go, that's for sure.

Re: End of my wits... Sputter and stall
The car isn't throwing any faults that my cheap generic reader is picking up. At this point I have a car at best with $1600 and we can probably get $1K realistically. We are just getting tired if fiddling with it. Everyone made this ETM repair seem like a sure fire thing.

End of my wits... Sputter and stall
So I'm at my wits end. I'm hoping one of you guys can steer me in the right direction. History 2000 Volvo V70 glt It died on the freeway. Lost power with crazy rpms and stalling on restart. This was the final blow, it had been stalling more and more up to this point. I replaced the MAF, O2 sensor th...

Re: Heat issues... I think
The MAF was a BOSH I believe. So the car died on the way to work and wouldn't come back. I had to have it towed to a near by mechanic who did a diagnostic and said that the throttle body is throwing out a hard fault. He's recommending me to take it to a local dealer and get the throttle body replace...

Re: Heat issues... I think
Well, I have worse news now. After attempting to get to work the car started to rough idle while driving. I could fee the car start to stagger some ,similar to when the AC kicks in but more frequent and harder. I got it to limp along by keeping the RPM's up until I could get to an off ramp and check...

Re: Heat issues... I think
No, I decided that regardless of what the clutch gap is, it's a smaller problems then the erratic idle. It did hang in for about 50 miles the other day in 95 degree heat. Though when I turned it on today it didn't seem to blow as cool. So bad news. I drove about 10 miles with the AC on and stopped s...

Re: Heat issues... I think
So a little update. I JB Welded the condenser and it hung in for about an our in 95 degree heat. I also found where the air temp sensor was bouncing around in front of the condenser and zip tied it in a new location where I can actually see the out side temp. I also replaced TPS sensor with the cont...

Re: Heat issues... I think
Thanks guys! I'll take a look at where the air sensors are bouncing around right now. I bet aftet 16 years in the desert the plastic clips have disintegrated. Also I just found that the Radiator has a leak in it... The horn assembly at some point got bent back to a point where it was rubbing on the ...
