I have a 2000 xc .....same thing. At times, it's stayed on for hours. I noticed if I turn off the fan before shutting car down, it seems to do it less. Thus far, it's never killed the battery. But these fans are loud! I have noticed it running on other parked v70s in parking lots too. Soo it's common.
