Re: Power Window fuse #37
A long holiday weekend and 2 days of rain have slowed down my circuit breaker work! But I'm back on it now. This is what was under the melted fuse box. It doesn't look like much, but if you zoom in, the slot second from the right is melted too. circuit breaker.jpg THIS is what was under the previous...

Re: Power Window fuse #37
I can figure out mechanical items pretty well, but electricity is a very unfamiliar playground. Here is what I have decided to do. 1. Unhook the battery. 2 remove the melted fusebox and see what it looks like underneath. I wish I understood more about relays, fuses and circuit breakers. Since I don'...

Re: Power Window fuse #37

I only ran the car for one or 2 minutes after I switched out the door - just long enough to test both master switches. Also th...

Re: Power Window fuse #37
First, I have to say, you guys are Amazing. I've never done more than jump a battery or change a flat! A week ago I didn't have a clue how to remove a door panel! I have now successfully replaced an entire door! I am going to remove the fuse box from my "parts car" (an almost identical '99...

Re: Power Window fuse #37
Now you can open the hood ALL the way, making it much easier to remove the 4 torx screws holding the FUSE box cover and get to the "hidden" locations for the CB's that protect the Windows/Sunroof and power seats. At this point, you'll be able to reach the plug-in circuit breaker in "...

Re: Power Window fuse #37
I opened up both Master switches, with the idea of cleaning them like Medic225 did. Both are from 1999 V70 wagons https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14183757_10209014827520476_1672263825189730581_n.jpg?oh=3053d91aa337d769be351795d7f511a7&oe=5854BD9E Clearly, the new switch on the righ...
