well gentlemen, it appears as though i need to pay more attention while soldering. i completely missed the two large pins and focused only on the smaller pins on the connector. she's working now after a quick spin around the block. thanks for the time!

Thanks for the reply. I've got a pretty nifty scan tool, but unfortunately it won't read ABS codes on a volvo. Do you happen to know if any car parts store in particular have scan tools that can read the Volvo ABS codes? I've gotten a refurbed unit from Mid-West ABS before and you're 100% right ...

I've got a 1998 Volvo S70, base model. No TRACS. I've basically inherited it. It's got 200k miles on it and still chugging along. Ever since i've had it (5 years or so) , the ABS light has been solid. I've done the following to try and remedy it.

Removed Module and resoldered all culprit ...
