While proceeding with fuel pressure testing, I removed the cap from the Schrader valve at the end of the fuel rail.
Fuel flowed out quite readily. Does anyone know part number? Is this the same size as the others in the fuel lines?

I did it. I pried the plastic clips out of the new pump to filter line connectors, wrestled the broken one out of the old connector, gently pushed the new clip into place, and simply snapped it onto the filter. I believe this is the most efficient and reliable way to do this ...

I have now in my hands a delivery pipe p/n 8664405.
Is it possible to remove those little clips and insert them in the old line in situ?
Has anyone ever tried?
The part cost some sixty bucks, buy if I can do it this way, even if I wreck the new part but get the old line fixed, I just think of how ...
