Re: 850 turbo exhaust heat shield removal & installation Topic is solved

Fwiw, on my '98 V70 GLT the bolt pattern was the large spring loaded bolt on the lower passenger side and the smaller spring loaded bolt on the upper brace support. The regular bolts went in the other three. Pretty sure the spring loaded bolts are to dampen any rattle. i believe you are right about...

Re: Front end wheel wiggle from 0-70mph (left-right tick-toc)

Not sure how I double posted or how to delete the extra. When I say end links I'm talking about the things on the end of the steering rack that connect it to the wheel assembly with a ball joint, you adjust their placement to align toe..........is this what tie rod refers to as well or is that the r...

Re: Front end wheel wiggle from 0-70mph (left-right tick-toc)

A front end off the ground inspection reveals ..... nothing ... No symptoms in reverse or drive No 12-6 play No 9-3 play With the tires off End links don't wiggle with a hand inspection either (Boots on their balls look amazing BTW) Sway bar links don't wiggle with a hand inspection either. (But the...

Front end wheel wiggle from 0-70mph (left-right tick-toc)

So I have a wheel wiggle problem. A left to right (tick-toc) can be seen looking at my driver side front tire through the window while creeping around a parking lot at 2-5mph. Moves my steering wheel of course. And sorta goes away after 70mph (which I probably shouldn't do). If there's anything it c...

Re: Not starting after head gasket replacement

I did pay attention to the orientation of the guide tabs on the rotors to make sure they lined up with the slots on the back of the cams. Once I realized the tabs where offset it was pretty rudimentary. I left the distributor and plug assembly assembled. So it's the way it was to begin with. Going t...

Re: Not starting after head gasket replacement

I posted earlier about the cam and distributor rotor mounting and was told they only go in one way. Does the distributor go in different ways. Could I have hooked it up to the timing coil without a proper Connection?
