Re: overheating no vac no boost
Hi all Apparently my last post disappeared into the ether. I did a cylinder pressure test and these are the results. 1-5 warm 120 psi 8 cranks wet 1 = 160 2-5 = 145 8 cranks Don't think the turbo is spinning. Cant find any Vac leaks. Haven't done a block test, but I think I cooked it. I guess pullin...

Re: fuel abd evap lines needed
Thanks, I've tried scrapyards, apparently there are a couple differing versions. High quality or not, what ever CT is dumping on the winter ice is killing all my cars. I guess match and bend is the option to go with. 304/316 stainless tube should last forever. Makes me wonder why they dont use it to...

New, Good used? :( Everything is rotten thanks to the crud the state of CT dumps on the road. I found the driveshaft I needed, and noticed the leak. DEALER NLA Don't want to lose the ...

Re: What engine will fit in my 96 850 turbo
There is the turbo coolant hose hidden under the turbo heat shield. Hard to see, really bad if it blows. The temp gauge is useless as soon as the water is gone. I think you have around 10 to 20 seconds after the no coolant light comes on before the engine is toast. Yes 10 to 20 seconds was about it...

Re: code readers
Have an Android, and an old PC. Is either better than the other? What is Vol-Fcr? Is this the one I need a Vag-Com cable for?
What will I get the best accuracy from?

code readers
Greetings all,
I have two older Volvo s that I need to get codes off.
one is a 98 V70 AWD, the other is a 96 850 Platinum.
Can I use Vida, or do I need something else to read the codes?
If other would you be kind enough to send a link to what equipment or software I'll need?
thanks

Re: Platinum Edition questions
Can you tell a Platinum by the VIN? The car I just bought is a opalescent white 1996 850 Turbo, Rear spoiler, 2.3L turbo, every conceivable option there is including premium sound and power antenna. Both seats are power, trip comp, fogs, sunroof, Persus wheels [or as close as I can figure from onlin...
