After 2-1/2 years - there have been no issues using the junkyard / salvage yard sourced module from Erie Volvo.

None - there are no idiot lights or messages displayed on the DIM relating to this matter or otherwise.
Additionally, the cruise Control functions as it should.
My wife took the car on a 5 hour highway trip today, using the cruise control, without any issues.

OK - then a hand held scanner with Vidas such as the iCarsoft i906 will read the ZVolvo specific codes for the newer model (my current code reader stops at MY 2005. I do not have a lap top and if I cannot 'program' then the system which required a lap top from my point of view has no added benefit.

For a reload - do 'they' need the car or can the reload be accomplished on just the BCM?

I received a BCM from Xmodex this morning; however, it was not the unit I sent. I marked my unit by the connector and the returned unit has no markings. I called and the sales person stated the unit they sent was good unit, like mine, but with the my bad software. To them it didn't matter physically...

I received bad news from Xmodex. The existing unit tested bad after their typical repairs were made. Xmodex transferred the software from mine onto another core which is 'good'. After the transfer, that core would not communicate. So, it appears my issue is software related. I am baffled by that.......
