Re: Wheel bearing on 2004
Interesting. If I use the longer one, should I re--use that rubber part, or just put in as-is?

Re: Wheel bearing on 2004
Thank you! Do you by any chance have a link to where I can buy the shorter axle bolts that are appropriate for my car?

Re: Wheel bearing on 2004
So on the hub assembly bolts, I ordered from the link you sent. What they sent looks different than what I pulled out. Same length, but threads go all the way to the head, and more importantly (though it may not matter) the head is a couple mm bigger on the new ones. http://i63.tinypic.com/9tkd42 ...

Re: Wheel bearing on 2004
Now I've run into a problem. Yay.
Ordered the axle bolts/drivetrain bolts/SEMS screw (whatever you call it...depends on where you look!). Should be no. 4, pictured here: https://usparts.volvocars.com/a/Volvo_2004_XC90-25l-5-cylinder-Turbo/_50018_5703757/Front-wheel-suspension/GR-371951.html ...

Re: Wheel bearing on 2004
Thanks for the torque specs. I got the bearings shipped today but I didn't look to see if they included new bolts and whadya know, it doesn't. So I have to order them separately. Anyone know the part number / specs on the 4 bolts on the back as well as the axel bolts?

Excellent. Thanks for the input. It's front, by the way... should have specified.

Wheel bearing on 2004
Knocking out wheel bearing this weekend and looking for a little input:
1. Replacement looks pretty straightforward but any pitfalls or tricks I should know of?
2. What other problems or issues should I look for while I am at it, and how would I diagnose them?
I don't notice anything other than ...

Re: 2004 T5 Losing Power, Shutting Off, No Codes
Mileage is over 170 and I'm willing to bet it's never had a PCV service. I'm trying the easy stuff first and probably need to tackle that too. The manifold looks like it's a pain to pull off.

2004 T5 Losing Power, Shutting Off, No Codes
Got an issue with my 2004 XC90 I was hoping the community might have some insight on.
About a week ago we were on a roadtrip, and I get a "Reduced Engine Performance" message. The car slowly started losing power. I pulled over, turned the car off and back on and it was fine.
