on the picture the connection that is straight goes to the right side of the intake manifold, removal of the upper manifold required to gain access. the second hose comes from the back where the canister is located. not the wording I wanted to used.

From what I gather yours is not a turbo, therefore your purge valve is located standing in front of vehicle if you remove the intake air assembly not the actual box but just that portion that provides fresh air to the box.
