Performance Exhaust?
Hey everyone, I've tried using the search engine but can't find much.. what does everyone have for their performance exhaust on their P1's? I picked up a 2005 S40 T5 6 speed back in January, and I'm extremely excited to start modding it! I'm looking at upgrading the TCV, CBV, air intake, then planni...

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
Update:
I checked my timing and there seems to be a couple different marks on it. There's sharpie written on it, an etched notch, and an engraved M. Any idea of which one I should go by or how to ensure my timing is ok?
Attached is a video to describe what I mean.

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
Hey guys, I'm gonna run a compression test but all the examples I've seen on youtube are with a warm engine? It's almost impossible to get my engine warm because it'll stall and die after not long. (See previous videos in the thread.) Can I still do one with a cold engine?

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
Alright, I've been pretty busy but I have an update. I've since cleaned the MAF and that didn't seem to fix the problem. I was able to pick up one of those bluetooth OBDII readers so I could get a little more information on what was going on. I did another ECU reset, and I've run it a couple times, ...

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
Alright so I did a little research and tried to do a hard ECU reset. This cleared the check engine light and had the car idling good for a little, until it started rough again. While it was running rough though I decided to unplug the MAF and that immediately got the idle stable again and threw the ...

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
Alright, so I've replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor and I'm still experiencing the same issue. I took a video to kind of help describe the symptoms. Sometimes when I start the car up and run it, it seems to idle just fine, yet it runs rich. Other times it'll bog around the 300-600 rpm range or...

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
No it's silver and rigid. Looks similar to a dryer hose connection and connects behind the engine near the firewall to the exhaust system. I'll post a picture tonight.

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
Yeah, it looks likes its time to replace these. 20180226_225635[288].jpg 20180226_225558[289].jpg 20180226_225529[290].jpg Also, when I was taking off the airbox, I accidentally broke what I think is the preheat hose that connects to it. Is this easy to replace that I can do myself with some clamps?...

Re: 98 S70 non turbo loss of power
The plug wires look okay, nothing too out of the ordinary, but I figured I'll replace them anyways while I've got everything taken apart. I'll be able to check the cap either later tonight or tomorrow. Am I looking for dirt and grime or just damage in particular?
