Rack was only noisy when turning slow so it did not mask the sound. Also check steering column and it was good.

After replacing power steering rack i noticed a whooshing or new sound coming from the the drivers side vent when accelerating. does not do it when in neutral revving in up. I took it in to local volvo mechanic and had it smoke tested and the turbo checked. All good. They said it could be PCV system...
