The key should unlock the trunk, it's mechanical not electrical, it would even trigger the alarm. Try again with the trunk, if it doesn't turn (same for the door), keep putting a little bit of pressure on the key while turning left-right and so on. Don't force ...

I have a 2002 s80 and have a dead battery and cant unlock the door to open the hood to jump it, key will not open the drivers door. And the remote won't either, Any ideas.
