Re: 94 850 crank no spark

Thank you, Lee and Erik. hmm. makes me weary of going the computer route, but the mechanic seams to be leaning that way last we spoke. The codes that I pulled from the car the evening it died were: A2 had nothing A6 3-2-4 Camshaft Position sensor (CMP) signal missing sporadically 4-1-1 Throttle posi...

Re: 94 850 crank no spark

The mechanic said that he tested the relevant relays, including the fuel injector one. And I think he meant to say, and I meant to post, that he is looking to replace the EZK ignition computer ecu first, and then if that doesn't work, the fuel injector computer. What is the proper name for these par...

Re: 94 850 crank no spark

Okay. Sorry for the delay here, everyone. It's been a little crazy. The car has been at a euro car shop for about a week now, having waited on an ignition coil from FCP for two days. Turns out that didn't work either. He said that there is spark and injection at every key cycle but not enough to get...

94 850 crank no spark

Hello Everyone, I've got a '94 850 wagon standard transmission. It was driving fine to the gas station and after filling up it cranked but didn't start. I tried a second time and it eventually cranked more and more and then fired up, but sounded awful and the check engine light came on. I turned the...

Re: '94 850 Driver's Door Won't Latch

the pulling of the handle while closing the door didn't work for me. I ended up driving the 40 minutes to work with the door tied shut and the heat blasting. But with that heat and the wd-40, somehow it loosened up and the door mechanism began to engage again by the time I arrived. VERY glad to have...

'94 850 Driver's Door Won't Latch

Hello everyone, We are having a cold snap here. When I went to open the drivers door, it was partially frozen and I yanked a little bit to get it open, but not with too much power. Immediately after opening, the door would not latch shut. I noticed on the other doors that the mechanism clicks when p...

'94 850 Timbing Belt Job- Current Timing appears to be off

Hello Volvo Friends, I've started my first timing belt job on my 94 850 base and before I move further just wanted to check in to see what everybody thought. When I align the camshaft pulleys with their corresponding notches in the upper timing cover, the crank pulley ends up a little over one cog a...
