Wow, thanks for the quick feedback. The shop told me to (until I can get to the dealership) pull out the oil dipstick.....when this is done, the noise disappears.

My 6 year old Volvo battery finally gave out. Jumped the battery to get the car to the shop. Shop replaced with an Interstate battery.
