Re: engine floods, stalls, randomly, s60R 2007
Ok. Latest- in driving it and watching my scangauge2. The IGN numbers are jumping around like crazy. Fine at idle (about 12). I will accelerate a little, it goes up to 25 or 30. I let up on throttle. Then it drops to a negative number and engine starts stalling. It hovers at 1-4. I read the manual o...

Re: engine floods, stalls, randomly, s60R 2007
Thanks JDS60R- I am at 100k miles. I don't think the O2 sensor going out could flood the engine plus it is not showing any codes. I have no access to a Vida accept 150 miles away at a dealer (unless there is someone in NW Arkansas that has one!). Today I replaced the FPS and still nada. So here is w...

Re: engine floods, stalls, randomly, s60R 2007
No thoughts?
Here is latest update of what we are trying: Clean MAF, replace ECT ($30), Replace FPS ($75), replace MAF, replace 02s. Sound like a good plan? missing anything?
Also this happens only when driving/under load, not while idling.

engine floods, stalls, randomly, s60R 2007
Ok. Car has been in shop for 5 days and we cannot find the issue. Here are symptoms: - no codes excepts misfires in 1 or more pistons. its totally random and seems to affect the whole engine. - it runs rich and eventually stalls when the problem happens - we cannot make the problem happen often, but...

Re: 99 S70 randomly stalling
PO133 is the fault code. Don't know if it is front or rear O2 sensor. But it is going "out" abt every 6 months. Can I clean it? MAF or Brake cleaner? I read abt a "torch" methods that burns off the contaminants from the sensor and you clean it with MAF cleaner. Thoughts? Thanks.

Re: 99 S70 randomly stalling
the little sq piece that looks like a computer chip? Could this help a rough idle and/or O2 sensor fault code that keeps going off even though the O2 sensor is new? thx

Re: 99 S70 randomly stalling
how do you clean the MAF? is it located right after the air filter? do I spray the whole things down with MAF cleaner? or just the sensor (looks like computer chip) in the middle? any tips or diagrams? Thanks.

Re: 850 T5- 1997- rough idle, slow off the line
Thanks for the idea. I just replaced the upper engine mount as it was in two pieces with polyurethane. Didn't notice any change in idle afterward. Why would a mount affect idle? does that affect slow off the line too? It seems more like a fire/air/fuel problem, but just guessing. Thanks for the repl...

850 T5- 1997- rough idle, slow off the line
Don't know if these are related, but when my 850 T5 is in drive it idles roughly. When I move it to park or neutral- it fine. Also seems much more slugglish off the line (turbo lag?). I have replaced all plugs, points, and rotor recently. Wires are not very old. Thanks.

Re: PO133 Rear Oxygen Sensor, replaced, still getting code
Thanks Bill. Will double check, but he was using a volvo code reader. Mine is telling me PO133. What about disconnecting battery to let things reboot? I never disconnected the battery during the install. thx
