Help! My remote has been erratic for some time, but now key won't unlock the door either. I didn't even realize the key was not mechanically unlocking the car until now. Any ideas? This is obviously a large PITA. This also begs the question, with a dead battery there would be absolutely no way into ...

I haven't tried anything complicated with it yet. I'll see if it can do the seat-sensor thing in my other thread soon. I will be very happy if it can do that.
It is very easy to use - just plug it in.

Does the seatbelt have anything to do with it? Why does undoing and redoing it fix it?

I keep getting Passenger Airbag Off when there is a person sitting there. Usually undoing and refastening the seatbelt fixes it, but it really gets annoying.

Yes this could be done. It would take a huge amount of time, cost a huge amount of money, and require expertise in both the new system and the old system to a level possessed by almost no one. Thanks - I'll hook up the iCarSoft reader and see what I get. Whatever triggered it did not set off the CEL, but maybe there still is a stored code.

Yesterday I started my car and it was banging and shaking like it was running on 2 cylinders and would barely move. An ANTI SKID error popped up as well.
I gave it a Microsoft Repair (turn it off, turn it back on) and now it drives fine. Any idea what is going on here

Update - one of the tail lights is actually out now. The warning still comes and goes erratically with seemingly no relation to the bulb actually being out
Time to replace the bulb and see if that is the end of it.
