Radio Anti-theft Code

Post by Guest »

Hi,

I have a 1996 Volvo 850. This is a new car to me. It went dead and we had to jump it. The radio asked for the code, and I had no idea what that was. I believe we may have just hit different buttons. I now have the code and understand the concept, but the radio is now permanently on OFF. The Quick Tips book I have says that the radio will lock for two hours if the wrong code is entered, but mine has not come back. How do I get another chance to enter the security code?

Thanks,
hollyj

The Quick Tips book I have says that the radio will lock for two hours...

It will lock for two hours' worth of the car being on. Or the ignition in the position right before on (I think "II").
