Volvo Error Light Help Topic is solved

thanks again to all who postde about my brake problems.

on my 97 850 i have a dash light that comes on only when i apply the brake (this happens somtimes, not all the time). The light is on the left hand side and looks like an upsidedown ligh bulb with an exclaimation point in the middle. I have new rotors and pads and althought my brakes are not perfect they work totally fine. What does this light in general mean?

Check the brake fluid level. there is a float switch that turns on the light when the fluid is low.

thanks for the reply, however the brakes are totally full, so im wondering if it has somthing to do with my booster? anyone else

The light that you described is a bulb-out light. Check your brake-lights.

my brake lights all work, the only light that i have out is my right front running light (its funny that the error light only comes on when i brake...whats the deal)
