My brake interlock started working intermittently (had to hold my mouth just right - ha, ha) and now has quite working completely. Have to use the over ride switch to get it out of park. So, I am assuming there is a switch someplace that has failed and needs to be replaced. Just wondering where this switch is located ('94 850 turbo wagon)
Thanks for any help ... jim

About a third of the way down the page is a section on the PNP switch. This should point you in the right direction.
Good luck,

Thanks, I found the info re PNP and brake microswitch. I assuming my problem is the brake microswitch.
I'm wondering where it is located so I can replace it.

Might not be PNP. See https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/chat-a ... s/613.html
and

i.e.: it might be the shiftlock switch.
