unlocking rear seat belts

Help! I put the rear seat of my 850 wagon down and the seat belts locked up and now I can't get the seat back up. Anybody know how to fix this? Many thanks! - Jennifer

I have had the same issue with my 96 850 wagon. You need to pull the bolt out that holds the seat belt to the floor. This under the seat bottom cushion. The cause of this is the seat belt is missing a small plastic pin in the middle of the belt. It is right above the large pin that holds the buckle up on the belt. This keeps the belt from retracting to far when the seat is put down. I have been able to get the replacement part from my dealer.
