S60 no long flash on locking the car

Hi,

My S60 has stopped giving a long flash on the direction indicators when i lock the car. Does this matter? Can i get it back?

Check to see if your hood has been closed properly. Sometimes if you close it lightly it will latch but doesn't engage the switch.
