Volvo S70 Throttle Switch

Hey everybody,
Does anyone happen to know anything about an electronic throttle switch on a 2000 S70? I have the electronic thorttle and I wanted to know if this is the switch or sensor at the gas pedal - I can get a new on for $50 USD. I ask because sometimes when I push on the gas the car does not respond and it's usually always when I push the gas slightly. I'm thinking the switch might be worn out and needs to be replaced. No ETS light has come on. Thanks!
