How to get in to my v70? Topic is solved

so i’m having a little bit of a problem with my -97 v70 so i was borrowing my friends battery since my died because my car isnt charging it so anyway i popped the hood and locked the doors and took the battery out and gave it back to my friend i closed the hood and after that i tried to go back into my volvo to take my tools out but my doors wont open with my keys.. do you have any ideas how to get into my volvo/open my hood to put battery in there and open the doors then

This is really strange, the key should work to manually unlock the driver's door and the tailgate.

You can remove the small corner lights and release the hood latches on each side, but this often breaks the tabs on the corner lights. Search for threads where the hood release cable is broken, that's how people open the hood when the cable breaks.

yea i was wondering same that it’s weird but my handle wont open more than few cm but anyway thanks for the tip i’ll look into that corner light thing

Try the tailgate first. That a direct mechanical key connection with no electronics

yea i got into my volvo, went under my volvo and pulled the hood release cable so problmem solved thanks for help
