#19 is sas system solenoid and it is operated by ecu,the same time it operates air pump...when it's needed.
It's normal state is closed.
You can check it by removing the connector, apply 12v to it and listen if it clicks while you opening and closing the circuit.
If it is clicking...it's ok.

Sometimes it can be full of carbon deposits which comes from exhaust manifold through a bad sas valve....check for it too.

#23 is one way valve and you can check it by blowing through it....air is going only one way.
If you can blow in both directions...it's bad.

I'll do the same with #19 as applying 12v to the motor in air pump, i.e., directly applying 12v, like this -- unless you say otherwise:

Just touch the other lead to the battery posts, and remember the motor might kick when it runs (Newton)

If you connect it and they get stuck and fault, when you go to remove them you will blister your fingers.

He's already been through that (Einstein!) for the motor. Is asking about testing the solenoid. You're in sales, should know better than to get fooled by the graphics!

Graduating Einstein from sales to benefits.

Are the two solenoid connector pins intended for each (+) positive and (-) ground?

Unless it’s a pi chart, it’s too complicated for me...don’t you have cells to go look at?

#19 solenoid passed! DOES IT WORK LIKE A SWITCH?
The connection nipple for #22 holds vacuum and releases with click after a 12v charge. Whereas, nipple for #18 -- vacuum line to sas valve -- was open.

ALSO, extended the replacement air pump's negative wire -- it too tested ok afterward -- thanks Erik!

The SAS was restored with a replacement air pump. Everything else was checked, cleaned, tested and installed. The rubber connectors/elbows are showing age.

The car is back running with more than 100 miles -- no CEL at this time. It could go for a State Air Team test next week.

Sas restored, A/C recharged after 6 years of intermittent cooling, and finally PASSED Air Team emission this morning.
Thank you MVS!
