Can someone please explain what the following options are used for?

Tracs
Economy/Sport/Winter

I recently purchased my Volvo & have yet to get my hands on an owners manual.

Tracs
Like anti-lock braking, but the other way around... keeps wheels from spinning when you're accellerating. Never worked well for me. Uses the same components as ABS.

Economy/Sport
Economy will shift sooner (lower RPM) at less-than-full throttle. Lower RPM = fewer combustion cycles per second = less fuel used. At full throttle, the car will shift at or near redline. If you floor it allways, it makes no difference what this switch is set to. Sport will let the RPMs grow higher in any given situation.

Winter
Transmission starts from a dead stop in 3rd gear. Less torque = less wheelspin in snow/sand/ice.

Winter mode acctually, starts in 3rd when D is selected, and 2nd when 3rd is selected. in L it holds it in 1st.
