Verifying Engine Number Topic is solved

Apparently there’s a mid-cycle cut-off on 850’s for timing belts. I’ve changed it before but don’t have the order number.

IPD shows a pic of the number stamped on a boss at the rear of the block at the timing belt end. Mine has a heat shield there.

The timing belt cover sticker looks like this -

Is that the engine number, not the rubbed off one below the bar code?

FCP has various cut-off numbers, with 6 digits. Oh, some show 0131155-on with 7 digits.

Lower number could be 027X315 ?
Or 127X315 ?

So (T) is serial number which I assume is the same as Engine Number, so my lower number on the sticker. ?

Like you mention, the block is stamped on a flange to the left of the timing cover on a flat flange. Often it is covered in dirt so has to be cleaned to read it. This may help. It should not be covered by the heat shield:

ah HA! It was black down there, and it's almost under that coolant elbow. A little spray soap and a wire brush and....

FCP cutoff is 131155. Solved.

I'm embarrassed - I dug into my 850 folders with receipts and repair info.....and there are the engine numbers etc.
