Etm replacement

Post by Zxaid »

So to give yall background I bought a 99 s70 base for 2k and it was pretty nice barely breaking it in at 106k miles I had the issue with my Etm and I have opened now and was thinking about replacing just the Etm for a magnetic model. Basically there’s 3 prices I’ve seen online for it 320 on amazon 175 on eBay and 120 on Ali express my question is

¿Has anyone actually used the Ali express one and was it any good?
(Keep in mind this is my first car and I’m not wanting to do to much of a risk)

I wouldn't trust anything from Ali Express. I wouldn't use Amazon either. Is that $175 unit on eBay a used one? I don't know what your financial situation is but the XeMODeX units are the best but they're priced like it too.

Others here know more about compatibility of used ETMs than I do, there is a recent thread about it and also a dedicated chat for just ETMs on the forum main page.
2000 V70 SE - Bought sight unseen in Cleveland, currently my only car. Looks identical to my profile picture
