Well that is awesome news, and well done! Getting an issue like this sorted makes your self belief grow hugely. More concerning is the gasket issue you are talking about. I can't recall having any issue with the gaskets other than getting them in place initially with a couple of bolts on opposite corners. Must be a new gasket to the ones I have in the stash bought a few years back from IPD if I recall.

Pulling the rad fan is huge on the turbo cars.

Eric. That 2000 turbo is a special snowflake engine but I have a fair number of parts for that year

Thanks very much!

The gasket situation is indeed new.
Thanks to Volvo's supersession numbering system I guess the older and slightly larger 8636753 for the turbo engine
is now a one size fits all VOL-31430474.

It does work - but it means you might get stuck really fiddly with one corner opening getting blocked a bit but the gasket.

I love hearing that.
I will absolutely keep that in mind. Especially out here in Philadelphia.
Not a lot of P80s like New England.

Day two and idle is smooth and steady still.

I actually have a complete cylinder head from a 2000 NA which is a vvt intake only. I think that was the only year made in p80 although a P2 head might fit too.
