Hey y'all,
I am in possesion of a 1999 v70 t5 with a nice simons catback exhaust on it, which sounds pretty nice. Just not quite loud enough for me when i want to have some fun with the car, so i reached out to a company specializing in exhausts. They told me a cutout or bypass valve would result in a barely noticable difference in sound compared to my simons exhaust.
I know the simons system already has a more flow optimized muffler in it, but i personally don't think it is nearly as loud as a cutout would be.
so i was wondering if any of you have any experience with this topic, all input would be greatly appreciated.
The system is a 2.5" catback with 1 full flow muffler about 70x40cm if i recall correctly.
