Sunroof rust

Hello everyone!

A few days ago I bought my first Volvo, a 1997 S70 GLE 2.0 gasoline model.

When I bought it, I knew it had a problem with the sunroof; at first I thought it was just an alignment issue. When I disassembled the glass, I saw that the metal frame connecting the sunroof to the car was very rotten. I know the brand no longer produces anything to fix this problem, but I also know that this problem is frequent.
Has anyone here experienced this problem? How did you solve it without sealing the sunroof?

I am in Europe, where can I look for parts?

I have a bit of experience with diagnosing and sealing a leaking sunroof. By 'metal frame' do you mean: 1.The brackets that the sunroof is screwed to, or 2.The sunroof tray? The black seal bordering the sunroof has metal reinforcing it and can rust, causing it to leak. Are you sure that isn't it? Picture please?

I'm 99% sure this issue is already listed and solved in the 850/s70/v70 forum. Go there and type in 'sunroof+ rust+ leak+' without quotations.
