Hi there!
I have a Volvo 850 1994 GL where I fixed the ABS problem and replaced the rear brakes.
Since I bought the car, the handbrake light and brake warning have always been on when the car is running, these also do not give any error codes on OBD1 but instead get a result of 1-1-1.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can turn them off?
Volvo 850 1994 GL parking brake / brake warning always on.

Is your car manual or automatic transmission?
Been a long time since I looked under a P80 center console at the parking brake system.
Cars of that era often had a simple contact switch under the parking brake lever in the center console. You may hove to remove the console to check this out. It could be as simple if there is a switch the connector has come off or the switch has gone bad. I did have a look at the electrical wiring and brake parts manuals, but neither show how the signal is initiated. Hopefully someone who has worked on this recently can chip in!
Neil.
