What preventive maintenance are you doing on your P80 850s and S/V70s?

What preventive maintenance are you doing on your P80 850s and S/V70s?

As our P80 cars are around 30 years old now, what preventive maintenance are you doing to ensure they keep going? Apart from the regular fluid changes (coolant, oil etc), what are you keeping your eyes on?

In the past year, I've replaced all my coolant hoses, turbo pressure hoses, lower and upper engine mounts, the vacuum hoses to and from the TCV valve, cambelt and serpentine belt, water pump. The distributor cap and HT leads seem fine. The PCV is still fine the last time it was checked, but plan to upgrade the hose to a 5/8 sizing perhaps this year.

Will be great to hear what you do.

When one of the wheel bearings on my 2002 S80, with 160K miles was starting to fail 2 years ago, I decided to replace all 4, and also all 4 on my 2001 C70, as that had also passed 160K miles. As it turns out (pun intended), all 4 appeared to be in great shape still. But I felt good about having done this piece of preventative maintenance.

I had the front wheel bearings done a few years ago. I think they were the original ones. The rear ones I was told by the indy who replaced the front ones were fine. I'm nearly at 230k miles, so I'll be keeping an eye and ear out for the rears too. Thanks for your input 👍

A few years back I replaced the camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor and the throttle position sensor with new Bosch units. None of. them was failing.... it was just a preventative measure. Last year, the fuel pump relay failed again... it was a new OEM relay from 2016. I wish I had replaced that one preventatively too.
