Thanks nightc1! I really don't know what it would take to do this project if I had to pay for it - luckily I work at the shop and spent many, many hours there working on this and many other projects, (we specialize in restorations, as we have completed a 76 Rolls Royce, 67 Lincoln Continental, an Alfa Romeo, and most recently, a customer sent us his 1956 VW bug after an engine fire and total restoration on his was like $10,000.00!!! There is a lot of effort that goes into prepping and stripping a vehicle down as far as I took mine. The clearcoat on my vehicle was over $500 for the gallon. But if you do it like I did it and document it along the way, it really gives you a great feeling of accomplishment! I am really enjoying it. Let me know if I can help you!
Thanks,
Rob

Late to the party here but I'd like to say well done. I have a '98 s70 in the same color and I'd love to have this done. My mechanic tells me Volvo quality took a nose dive in the late nineties and I shouldn't bother with restoration. Thoughts? I really like the car but I'm not sure when it's time to move on.
